Ray White’s largest Illawarra office expands to South Wollongong

By Matthew Ferraro

The team behind the leading Ray White Shellharbour City office has expanded and added a South Wollongong business to their name.

Principals Adam McGrath, Ben Cohen and Amanda Bonnici have grown their business into a leading force in real estate in the Illawarra region and further cemented their dominance with the opening of Ray White South Wollongong.

At the 2022 Ray White New South Wales annual awards Ray White Shellharbour City took out the top gong for office with the highest settled commission and number of sales from a regional business. While Amanda Bonnici, who is ranked in the highest one per cent of agents in the group, was recognised as the Top Regional Principal for settled commission and number of sales at the state’s 2021-2022 annual awards.

Ray White South Wollongong has replaced the existing Ray White Warrawong office with the current staff members coming onboard with the Shellharbour City team including outgoing director Giovanni Zappia. Adam said the team is excited about their expansion into the south Wollongong area.

“South Wollongong is a direct link to our current area in the Illawarra, it was a natural progression and we really value the people already there,” Adam said.

“Our office has gone from strength to strength in Shellharbour City and we are looking for our next challenge. We’re looking forward to having a bigger network and we will be implementing the winning systems and processes that have helped make us successful.”

Together the trio have brought more than 60 years of real estate experience to the South Wollongong region and have grown their business immensely since they began their first Ray White office in 2010.

“We love Ray White because it’s family owned and operated. We’re all family ourselves so it’s part of our own beliefs,” Ben said.

“The three of us have been with Ray White for the best part of 20 years each. In that time we’ve seen the group go from strength to strength.

“They’ve always been the biggest real estate group in Australasia but over the past 10 years in particular they’ve made such significant changes to their approach in training, marketing and quality control, I believe it’s made the group the clear market leader in every aspect.

“This has allowed us to grow from just three of us to nearly 40 staff across our two offices.”

Ray White NSW | ACT CEO Tim Snell congratulated Adam, Ben and Amanda on their expansion within the Illawarra.

“They have grown their business into the leading office in regional New South Wales through determination, hard work and ambition. Not only are they driven to succeed but they are also values driven which aligns with the culture of Ray White,” Mr Snell said.

“I have no doubt they will continue to strive and succeed and I look forward to celebrating their future success.”
